The Southern California Cleaners Association, also known as SoCal Cleaners Association, is a professional organization serving the dry cleaning industry across Southern California. The association was formerly known as the Greater Los Angeles Drycleaners Association (GLADCA), which was established in the early 1960s.
The organization was created to support dry cleaners by providing education, industry information, and opportunities to build professional connections. Over the years, its membership expanded beyond Los Angeles to include dry cleaners and businesses from across Southern California, as well as companies working in Allied Trade industries.
The association has a long history of supporting professionals within the cleaning and garment care industry. At one time, California had seven local cleaners associations. Over the years, most of these organizations disbanded, leaving two primary associations: the Greater Los Angeles Dry Cleaners Association and the Peninsula Dry Cleaners Association.
The Peninsula Dry Cleaners Association serves Northern California, while the Southern California organization expanded its educational outreach across the southern part of the state.
In 2007, the Board of Directors voted to broaden the organization’s educational outreach to cover the wider Southern California region. This development led to the adoption of the Southern California Cleaners Association name.
SMN Digital Consultancy developed a website solution to present information about the association, its history, industry activities, and membership community in an organized format.
The website provides visitors with a clear way to learn about the association and its role within the dry cleaning industry. The content structure helps communicate important information while keeping the user experience straightforward and accessible.

Today, the association’s members extend across a broad area, reaching from San Diego to Central California. This wider coverage allows the organization to connect professionals and businesses involved in the dry cleaning and Allied Trade industries.
The website supports this regional presence by providing a central digital platform for communicating organizational information. It also helps visitors understand the association’s background and its long-standing connection with the cleaning industry.
The project demonstrates how a professional association can use a structured website to communicate its history, services, community, and industry focus.
The completed website provides an informative digital presence for the Southern California cleaning community. Through organized content and accessible website design, visitors can learn more about the association and its role in supporting dry cleaning professionals across the region.
